Lollipops! See the Lollies

These top-whorl handspindles have designs painted all over the whorl. Some have paint effects - antiquing, crackling, marbling. Regular Lollipops are 6 inches long, have a 2 inch diameter whorl, and weigh about an ounce. Gourmet Lollipops handspindles have more painting on them than the regular Lollipops. These handspindles have designs painted all over the whorl and on the spindles. The painting is more detailed than on the regular Lollipops, hence the "gourmet". Gourmet Lollipops are 6 inches long, have a 2 inch diameter whorl, and weigh about an ounce. The long awaited All-Day Lollipop (aka "the big lollie") is here! This is a spindle for those of you who like to spin production amounts of yarn. It is also very versatile - you can spin anything from gossamer thread to bulky yarn. It is well-balanced and spins forever. The All-Day Lollipop is 11 inches in length and has a 4¾ inch diameter whorl. It weighs about 1.7 oz. The Lollipops designs below have all been retired. This means that we will no longer paint them. Most of them are still available at our dealer's shops, but they are disappearing . If you want to locate one of these designs, I've made a list of who has them in stock. Holiday Lollipops are even more special than Gourmet Lollipops. They have the same or more detailed designs and are only available for short periods - then the design is retired, never to be done again. The Peppermint Lollipop below was retired on Dec. 25, 1997, the Snowflake was retired on Dec. 25, 1998, the Wintergreen was retired on Dec. 25, 1999, The Gilded Lollie, was retired on Dec. 25, 2000. The 2001 Holiday Lollipop, Midnight Snowman, will be retired on Dec. 25, 2001; however, dealers, please note, this lollipop can only be ordered before November 30, 2001.

The Snowflake and Wintergreen Lollipops, and The Gilded Lollie may be available at some Lollipops dealers. As far as I know, the Peppermint Lollipop is all gone, however, I did see one up for auction on e-bay! I do have a list of who has what retired lollie for sale, but it may be a bit out of date at times.
